Tales From the Cask Craft Beer Podcast

We got on a roll last week with IPAs, and we keep the momentum going with some of the last of the summer ales for 2014! We begin with FoothillsAugust IPA “Coral”, then we venture to the far north to try 2 from Maine Beer Company: Peeper Ale and Mo Pale Ale, and we finish up with a return to our neighborhood with Carrboro’s Starpoint DUH! Double IPA.

Football and movies top the beer news this week! We have a story from Forbes listing the NFL's Most Overpriced Beers, and one from Uproxx about officially licensed hobbit beers. We also check out The Wall Street Journal on barrel-aged beer, io9 gives us a scientific excuse to drink a beer, The BBC profiles a beer revolution in Africa, while The Local shares that northern France is hoping that beer will boost tourism. We wind up here in the Triangle with 2 of our major universities: Duke Today reveals there’s Duke in your beer and Natural Sciences tells us that bumble bees have been recruited to make beer at NC State.

We continued to get replies to an earlier #caskquiz “what beer was your fave from Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp collaborations?” and heard from you on “what fall beer are you most looking forward to drinking?” This week we ask “what’s your fave beer event that you have attended?”

We love hearing from you!
