We are keeping it local this week with another incredible North Carolina craftbrewer! Stopping by to share some of their amazing beers are Andrew Durstewitz and Bora Okay from D9 Brewing out of Cornelius, NC (just north of Charlotte!). Straight from the brewery they bring us bottle of Viking Fraoch Spontaneous Sour which we compare to the draft we have in the bar, plus some of the Southern Tea Hazy Golden American Wheat Ale and Froggy Night IPA. Fun news awaits this week! We begin with The Wall Street Journal revealing what a beer will cost you, from Kiev to Geneva, followed by NPR exploring how breweries are adapting to a changing climate and then Above the Law Redline asking do we need ‘Honest Pint’ legislation? Next up is The LA Times picking the beer accessory of the day, then The Week’s list of 8 great airports for beer enthusiasts, Minneapolis Public Radio on recent investments in the brewery helping Leinie's trot out more beers, and we finish with The USA Today’s story on how Samuel Adams is finding success with braggot. Last week our #caskquiz was “what’s the craziest internet beer rumor have you ever heard?” and this week we want to know “what’s your favorite beer glass or style of beer glass?” Please send us a pic! We love hearing from you!
