Tales From the Cask Craft Beer Podcast

This week Chip finally gets to go on a road trip to Durham and we are joined by our friend Jenny Brinkman to celebrate Ballast Point’s 20th Anniversary with a killer lineup of special brews! Jenny tells us all about the birthday celebrations and her own recent nuptials, and then we share a powerhouse flight of beers: Cherry Wheat, Nitro Copper ESB, Schwarzbier, Commodore w/Raisin, Sour Wench, and a Double IPA!

More fun news is in the cards this week! First up is The BBC reporting that a glass of beer 'makes people more sociable', followed by Gizmodo revealing that now we know how beer foam stops all that sloshing and Science Daily’s story that music makes beer taste better! Next The New York Times show us a two-mile beer pipeline carring Belgium’s lifeblood to be bottled and we wind up with VinePair on the fact that beloved writer Jane Austen brewed beer!

Last week’s #caskquiz was “are you taking any beer-themed trips this fall and if so where?” and this week we want you to tell us “who do you think invented the double IPA?”
